Dr. Olivia Rhines

I’m very excited to join the team at Otter Dental and return home to interior Alaska! Everyone has been so welcoming and I’m looking forward to providing gentle, high-quality care to patients of all ages. I believe that improving oral health starts with patient education and a customized treatment that encompasses your overall wellness. 

I was born and raised in Fairbanks and am a graduate of both Lathrop High School and UAF. Throughout college, I shadowed Drs. Payne and Ott and found my passion for dentistry. After earning my Bachelor’s in Chemistry, I went on to attend the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2021. 

Missing home and the cooler weather, I returned to Alaska where I worked out in Kotzebue. I’m now looking forward to being home and closer to family. One of my favorite things about Fairbanks is the friendly, small town feel— also, of course, the Thai food and coffee stands! 

I have a 7 year old poodle/miniature pinscher named Benny who takes up most of my free time but I also enjoy reading, skiing, and trying out new recipes. I have a large family and love that I’ll now be able to spend more time with them.
