Our Team

  • Nancy Capps
    Lab Tech

I love being part of an amazing team, all of us helping patients achieve their best, most healthy smile. I’ve been with the practice since 1995 and treasure the friendships with our patients and my coworkers. As a Lab Tech, I sterilize all our instruments and order supplies. As for my personal life, I love being a Grandma!

  • Kim Carter
    Operations Manager

I am passionate about patient care and education. I enjoy helping patients figure out financially how they can complete their recommended treatment. I have been a part of the team since 1991 and love how our doctors strive for excellence in dentistry. I answer insurance questions, set up financial arrangements, and manage accounts receivable, billing, and insurance tracking. I have completed many continuing education courses in Risk/Practice Management, Medical and Dental coding and I have completed my Ambassador training with AADOM (American Association of Dental Office Managers). I enjoy spending my time away from work with my family. I recently have become a GRANDMA which is a highlight of my life.

  • Reyhaun Gregerson
    Dental Hygienist

I enjoy helping people take control of their smile’s health. Seeing someone become excited about brushing and flossing makes me smile! I started here as a Dental Assistant in 1996 and became a Hygienist in 2008. Working with patients, I take X-rays, clean teeth, and teach patients about their unique dental concerns. Seeing a healthy smile at a recall visit always makes me smile. During my time off, I enjoy being with my three kids, granddaughter, and my furry kid, too. I like reading, watching movies, and Alaskan summers.

  • Kim Irwin Olsen
    Scheduling Coordinator

I enjoy visiting with our patients and hearing their latest news. Each person is important to all of us and we want everyone to know they’re valued. I joined the team in 1996 and am grateful to serve our wonderful community. I answer the phones, collect co-pays and help patients find appointment times that work with their busy lives. When away from the office, I enjoy making memories with my family, especially traveling together to warmer climates and sunshine.

  • Amy Pate
    Dental Hygienist

I was born in Fairbanks and raised in North Pole - I am proudly a second generation Alaskan. I attended Monroe Catholic High School and then decided to venture away for college, in Mobile Alabama, at Spring Hill College. I received my Bachelors in Biology/Pre-Med at SHC and then came back to Alaska to attend UAF, where I received two more degrees; one being my Associates in Dental Hygiene, in 2009. I was one of the first six students in the Dental Hygiene program here in the interior.

I absolutely love the dental field and have been working in dental offices since I was 16 (over half my life). I have seen and experienced many changes and improvements in dentistry over these 20+ years.  I continue to broaden my knowledge pertaining to dentistry on a daily basis and am always my patient’s best advocate, in helping them receive the best care possible and to know which products to purchase to better their oral health.
In my free time, I love to enjoy all of what Alaska has to offer us. I hunt, fish, boat, ATV, camp, snowboard, and snowmachine, when I have the chance.  My husband Billy and I have recently had our first child and are navigating being new parents to our son. Family is everything and my patients are like family to me. I’m excited to be on this amazing team and look forward to help provide you the best care possible.

  • Randi Martin
    Dental Assistant

Dentistry has a very special place in my heart. I have been a dental assistant for over six years and started with the Otter dental team in May 2018.  I enjoy the relationships I build with each and every patient and the growing technology within the dental industry. I assist our doctors with restorative procedures, radiographs and lab work. I ensure our patients feel comfortable in the chair and leave happy.  My favorite part of dentistry is seeing what cosmetic dentistry can do for our patients. I thoroughly love what I do! I am a born and raised Alaskan girl. I grew up on snowmachines, dirt bikes, four wheelers, and the great outdoors! My fiance Mike and I enjoy kayaking, camping and fishing with our four girls. We love this community and are glad to call this place our home.

  • Mary Thompson
    Dental Assistant

I graduated from UAF with a degree in dental assisting and have been assisting ever since, I recently joined the team in 2017. I work closely with the doctors during restorative treatment, radiographs, and lab work. I enjoy seeing patients and building relationships with them year after year. My favorite part of dentistry is having the ability to help give patients the ability to smile again. Outside the office I spend time with my husband Mark, daughter Olivia and our dog Dash hiking, traveling, and simply spending time together.

  • Nicki Ott
    Office Manager

I grew up in Portland, Oregon where I met my husband, Dr. Ott while he was in dental school. We moved to his hometown of Fairbanks after his schooling where I got my degree from University of Alaska Fairbanks in accounting. I started working for the office when my husband bought the practice from Dr. Payne doing the accounts payables while raising our two boys.  I love working with this great team and can't wait to see this practice grow.

  • Caitlin Garcia
    Dental Assistant

I started my career in dentistry in 2016 and it is a job I genuinely enjoy doing! I love the esthetic side of dentistry and getting to help restore someone’s smile into their dream smile. I assist the doctors with multiple types of restorative procedures, lab work, some surgical procedures like extractions and gum grafts, radiographs and much more. A big part of the job is making sure the patient is comfortable and happy and actually getting to know the patient. I hope to eventually further my dental career and become a dental hygienist. Working with the Otter Dental team is much more than just job with co-workers, it’s a job with friends who have a great bond. We help each other learn and improve ourselves everyday. It’s a home away from home!

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My fiancé Eric and I love to go camping in the summers and just being outside with our dog, Nova. We’ve both lived in Alaska most our lives and plan to grow our family here as well.

  • Haley Eriksen
    Dental Hygienist

Being born and raised in Fairbanks, it brings me such great joy to be able to provide patient care and dental services to the amazing people that make our Golden Heart city so wonderful – a place I am continually proud to call my home! I am passionate about getting to know each patient that takes a seat in my chair and taking the time to provide a tailored, up to date, and caring approach to dental health care. I began my dental career in 2017 as a dental assistant before deciding to attend dental hygiene school at the University of Alaska, Anchorage where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene. When I am not dressed up in scrubs, you can find me at home chasing after our dogs, taking weekend road trips with my husband Josh, on the ski slope, hiking/camping, fly fishing, taking photos, or catching a flight to someplace warm! I am honored to be part of such dedicated, professional and fun team here at Otter Dental.
